Santiago, DR – The General Directorate of Traffic Safety and Land Transportation (DIGESETT) received a donation of electric vehicles and electric scooters. Major businessmen and important figures of the country attended.

Joel Tavárez, president of Electric Motors, also attended the ceremony.The delivery was received by General Francisco Osoria De la Cruz,director of DIGESETT. This ceremony was attended by Andres Cueto,general manager of EDENORTE, the mayor of Santiago, Ulises Rodríguez,

and the governor Rosa Santos.

Mr. Romero ( Cenntro ) highlighted the benefits that the use of these vehicles will bring to the institution: “The future is already here and

promoting this type of initiative will greatly reduce operating costs and contribute to a cleaner future.” For his part, Joel Tavárez pointed out “the great change that this great step will mean.”

General Osoria thanked the private sector for its contribution, highlighting the positive impact of these tools on DIGESETT's surveillance and

supervision work, marking a step towards the modernization of state transportation.

The new, fully electric vehicles are designed to meet the highest standards of efficiency and performance, significantly contributing to reducing the carbon footprint and improving air quality in major urban areas. The delivery includes vehicles adapted for use in patrols and surveillance,

supporting DIGESETT's work in traffic regulation and road safety.
